Ostrów Lednicki Island

The island with relics of residential and sacral stone architecture from the times of Mieszko I and Boleslaus the Valiant (the 10th and 11th century) submerged remains of two bridges of the Poznań Gniezno tract (ferry). In the suburbium reconstruction of the timber buildings.

• „Under the sky of the Middle Ages” (grange in Dziekanowice adjacent to main offices of the museum)
• „Guests of the Lednica's table” (the Little Skansen )

Wielkopolski Etnographic Park Dziekanowice

Branch of the Museum. The reconstruction of a typical Wielkopolska village. WEP presents a variety of chronologically and socially diverse architectural structures of the historical region of Wielkopolska from the 17th to 20th centuries. The exhibition features fully furnished interiors which constitute an integral part of this architectural complex.
Temporary installations in Wartkowice church, relating to the liturgical year and folklore (The Easter Grave, With Sunday, Funeral Mass, All Souls Day)

Archaeological Reserve
the Piast Dynasty Stronghold Giecz

Branch of the Museum. Remains of the foundations of the palace and sacral complex dating back to the early period of the Middle Ages.

• We invite you to visit the foundation of the unfinished palatium of the second half the 10th century, as well as the remains of the stone church dating back to the beginning of the 11th century.
• In Giecz we recommend visiting the single nave church of Saint Nicolas built in the 12th and 13th centuries.
• Museum will be opened from 17th of April  2011

Rezerwat Archeologiczny Gród Piastowski w Gieczu

Archaeological Reserve Stronghold in Grzybowo

Branch of the Museum. The largest of the preserved strongholds of Wielkopolska.

The exhibits are presented at the exhibition:

• „The Grzybowo Stronghold . Between the tribe and the state"

Hollander Windmill Rogierówko near Kiekrz

Ethnographic Post of the Museum. Octahedral wooden building dating back to 1905, fully equipped with original machines and tools from the beginning of the 19th and 20th centuries.

Ostrów Radzimski — Starczanowo Com. Murowana Goślina

Branch of the Museum — Previous island on Warta River with remains of the stronghold fortification and the tower ( the 13th to 14th century).

Opening hours:

• There is a ferry service to Ostrów Lednicki from 15.04.2011 to 31.10.2011 during normal openings hours.
• On Sundays and holidays the Museum is open to visitors from 10:00 a.m. from 1.05.2011 to 30.09.2011 the Museum is open until 6:00 p.m.
   
• The Museum is closed on Mondays.
